"Trilobite, Phacops J is from the Devonian Period. It is a little over 1 inch long and 3/4 inch wide on a matrix that is about 2 x 2 inches. It is over 350 million years old.
Trilobites were one of the first animals to develop vision back in the Cambrian Period. Phacops trilobites had reletively large compound eyes that enabled it to see nearly 360o. Phacops belongs to the order of trilobites called Phacopida. This specimen was found near Erfoud, Morocco. From Morocco.
