Thunder Egg Half. This piece is cut and polished on its face while the back side is in its natural condition. It is 2.5 inches long, 2 inches wide, and 1 inches thick. This is a beautiful piece from an old collection. It was collected near Madras, Oregon. Thunder Eggs are formed in gas pockets of lava flows. They start as geodes that fill completely with agatized material.
