Septarian Nodual Polished G

This polished Septarian nodule G is from Southern Utah. It is about 3 inches across.  Septarians were formed during the late Cretaceous Period. They are a rock formed of clacite and  aragonite in a mudstone matrix. Sometimes called a psudo fossils, these beautiful stones are fossilized mud cracks from dried out lake beds.
