Description
The Raptor Tooth is in very good condition and about 1/2 inch long. It is from the Cretaceous Period, about 95 million years old. It was found in the Kem Kem area of Morocco. The riker type display box is 3.25 x 2.5 x 3/4 inches. This is a sample of our inventory. The raptor tooth you receive will match this description and look very similar to the tooth pictured here.
Raptors were theropods that belonged to the family called dromaeosaurids. They were feathered carnivores. They had long stiff tails that helped them to balance when running. Raptors had a large claw on each hind foot that was probably for attacking its prey.
