Description
Perisphinctes, which flourished throughout the Jurassic period, can be found all over the world. They have distinctive ribbed shells, and Madagascar examples frequently have a powdery white surface.
Ammonites are a type of extinct marine animal related to the nautilus. Ammonites, like nautilus, had soft bodies with tentacles that erupted from a hollow chambered shell. Ammonites are distinguished by their shell design.
