Miniature Environment Sets Info
The Prehistoric Miniature Environments are the perfect way to bring the Time Line curriculum to LIFE!
Each set includes representative animals (and occasionally plants, early humans, and volcanoes) to allow students to set up environments for imaginative play, story-telling, and creative writing. The accompanying e-book includes everything you need to create scenes for the animals, identification materials for each species and time period, grammar cards for writing, and teacher lesson guides with instructions for use.
There are a total of 8 different sets of figurines: two sets for each of three eras: Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic and, for the dinosaur lovers, two sets of reptiles from the Cretaceous Period.
Sold separately, teachers and parents can choose to start with just one set, buy one of each for a timeline of figures, or all 8 sets for the ultimate in Time Line of Life investigation and play. Each set includes a variety of characteristics from herbivores to carnivores; reptiles, fish, aves, amphibians, and mammals (when appropriate) and a volcano to represent land building, a conifer to represent the dawn of plants, and early humans.

These sets are specially selected, organized and numbered to cover represented time periods and species.
For each set, we purchase 10 to 12 different Safari Toobs. We combine the animals to make our uniquely organized sets and number each figure for identification. Each set comes with an Identification chart that lists the primary time period in which the animal lived along with behavioral identifiers to help the student create realistic dramas in their play.
