Heliospongia samosa Extinct Fossil Sponge

Heliospongia samosa is an extinct fossil sponge from the Pennsylvanian Epoch of the Carboniferous Period. These fossils are about 300 million years old. They were found in the Bridgeport Shale formation, Wise County, Texas.
