Goniatite, Polished

"Goniatites were an early form of curved cephalopd, or ammonite. These goniatites are from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. These beautiful fossils have been polished to reveal the chambers, called camera, and the divisions between the chambers, called septa. The picture shows typical crystalization and coloration. The specimen you will receive is about 2-inches in diameter and will bear similar markings to the specimen pictured.
