Gastropod Wyoming

This ancient fossilized gastropod is related to living gastropods of today like snails. These fossil gastropods were found in Wyoming. They are about 1 inch long. Gastropods can be carnivorous (meat-eaters) or herbivorous (plant eaters). Their tongue is covered with thousands of tiny teeth to tear apart food.
