Dinosaur Egg Shells from Argentina and the Cretaceous Period. These pieces were found in Patagonia, Argentina where a huge dinosaur nesting ground has been discovered. The nesting area is about 20 miles in diameter and was subject to floods which periodically buried the nests and prserved the eggs as fossils. Many complete intact eggs have been found including some with dinosaur embryos inside! The majority of the fossils found are eggshell fragments scattered over the area. The most common species found here has been saltosaurus, a South American sauropod. It is likely that these pieces are from saltosaurus but we cannot say for sure what species these eggshell pieces represent. Each piece is about an inch accross. Each piece is different but the photo represents a sample of our inventory. Your piecs will be similar to those in the picture.
