Blastoids
Blastoids are cousins of the crinoids. They are stalked echinoderms that lived by filtering plankton from the passing seawater.
Blastoids lived throughout most of the Paleozoic Era.
The Blastoids fossils we have for sale here are the heads that had mouth,anus,and respiritory function. They are from the Missippian sub-period of the Carboniferous Period. They are about 325 million years old.
The first undisputed specimens are from the Ordovician Period and They became extinct along with many other species in the great dying at the end of the Permian Period.
